ISRO to launch GSAT-12 on 15th July 2011

Indian Space Research Organization, ISRO will launch vehicle rocket on Friday which will carry Communication satellite GSAT-12. It will be having transponders for communication and Weather Forecasting. The satellite will be launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Shriharikota on Friday that is 15th of July 2011. 



It is having a weight of 1410 kilogram. GSAT-12 will act as a replacement to INSAT-3B. It has 12 extended C-Band (communication-band) transponders.The communication satellite will be carried by PSLV-C17. It will be helpful to transmit data like point of sale transactions and satellite internet access.
