IIM adopted new pattern for CAT

A change has been introduced to the entrance exam for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Common Admission Test (CAT) will be having only two parts and the pattern will be enforced from this year itself. CAT examinations will be conducted between 22nd October to 18th November 2011.

The CAT 2011 will be having a duration of 140 minutes that's 2hours 20 minutes and the paper will be divided into two sections unlike previous years where it used to be in three parts. The news has been confirmed by the Prometric which conducts CAT in partnership with IIM. The two sections will be Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. In previous papers all these papers were categorized separately into three sections.

There will be a total of 60 questions in two sections, each section having 30 question and a time duration of 70 minutes to solve them. An on screen watch will help them have a look on time which will act as a count down and once 70 minutes will get over they will automatically be redirected to second section of the paper. Candidate will not be able to move to the previous section, once those 70 minutes get over. Also an extra time of 15 minutes will be given to the candidates as a tutorial as the CAT will go Online as usual. So, the total time duration increases to 2 hours and 35 minutes, however, this time cannot be used to solve the questions.

Union Public Service Commission will organiuse the preliminary Exmainatio for Civil services this Sunday that is 13^th of June 2011. UPSC, organises Civil Servioces Examination in two stages, Preliminary and Main Examination.

Preliminary Examination includes objective type questions and the selected students will be eligiblew for mains exam.

Main Examination includes Long Type Questions and the selected students are put up for an interview and the deserving candidates are selected for Civil Services by UPSC.

AIEEE Online Counseling Schedule 2011

AIEEE Results 2011 has been declared yesterday i.e. 5^th of June by Central Board of Secondary Education. Board has also issued the Online Counseling Schedule for AIEEE 2011. All India Engineering Entrance Examination, AIEEE is the second most valuable Engineering Exam after JEE in India. Candidates will be given admission in Bachelor Courses of B.Tech and B.Arch in various National Institutes of Technologies (NIT’s) across the nation based on their merit in AIEEE 2011.

Online Counseling of AIEEE will start from 25^th of June 2011 and will be completed on 13^th of July. Counseling will take place in three different sessions. The classes will start from 21^st of July 2011. Candidates who are eligible for the AIEEE 2011 counseling needs to get their documents verified at the help center near there home. The list of Help Centers allocated in various places is available at the official website of AIEEE at http://www.aieee.nic.in.

• 10^th Class Marksheet (Carry Original and Photocopies of the marksheet)

AIEEE 2011 Results to be declared today at 1:00 PM-Cut-Off Marks for online Counseling

All India Engineering Entrance Examination, AIEEE 2011 Results are to be declared today that is 5th June 2011 at 1:00 pm. This is 10th time that Central Board of Secondary Education has conducted AIEEE.Candidates may see their results at www.cbse.nic.in or www.aieee.nic.in.

The Cut-off marks for General category, OBC category, SC/ST category and Physically Handicapped candidates is 48 marks, 45 marks, 18 marks and 18 marks respectively, and the candidates scoring the same numbers may fill in their choices for online counseling for B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch/B.Planning which will be conducted by Central Counseling Board – 2011.

This year 1114880 candidates were registered and 1053832 candidates appeared for AIEEE – 2011.

CLAT Results 2011-Common Law Admission Test Results 2011 today

CLAT 2011 results will be declared today at 6:00 pm IST. The Test was conducted on 15th of May 2011. Students qualifying CLAT will get admission in courses of BA.LLB and LLM in 11 Law Colleges across the nation.The list of collegesis given below:

UPTU Entrance Exam Result 2011-UPSEE 2011 Answer Key

The Results for Uttar Pradesh State entrance examination UPTU SEE 2011 were declared on May 25, 2011 that is yesterday on Wednesday. UP SEE 2011 entrance examination is being organized in order to give admission to students in colleges affiliated to Gautam Buddha Technical University (GBTU) and Mahamaya Technical University (MTU). GBTU which was formerly known as UPTU gives admission to candidates on the basis of marks scored in this examination. 

22,918 candidates approximately participated in UPTU SEE 20011 for MBA, 20,736 students qualified the exam, and the pass percentage has been very high that is 90.47%. UPTU MBA Test has been topped by Mohd Amir, a resident of Shahjahanpur.

A total of 1,72,426 students appeared for the UPTU entrance examinations for admissions in B.Tech out of which only 82,197 could qualify and the passing percentage is 47.67% while in BPharma Entrance Exam, total 32,343 students appeared for the exam and only 4,008 could qualify. B.Arch Exam 2011 has been taken by 11,973 and 8,188 student qualified.13, 906 candidates appeared for MCA Entrance Exam, and 4,393 were successful.

PEPT to be conducted at 21 Centers outside Madhya Pradesh-Details & Time Table

VYAPAM has provided 21 Examination Centers in 9 cities out of the state for PEPT 2011. Mostly the students from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are participating in the examination.  6,140 students from Bihar and 2,716 students from Uttar Pradesh are giving exam this year. Out of 21 centers made outside the state, the maximum number of examination centers that is 10 is in Patna. While there are 2 centers in Allahabad, Kanpur and Ranchi and Delhi, Kolkata, Raipur, Nagpur and Lucknow has one centers each.A total of 11,818 students are giving PEPT this year which is quiet relieving news for private Colleges. 

Maximum Number of Students from Gwalior:

According to the VYAPAM this time 1,10,866 students are taking part in examination, in which 99,48,000 are from Madhya Pradesh itself and in that also 15,505 are from Gwalior which is the maximum number of students from a single place. Following is Indore with 15,445, while State Capital Bhopal is at the third place with a strength of 12,432.
