MS Dhoni & Abhinav Bindra became Lieutenant Colonel

Indian Cricket Team Captain MS Dhoni & Olympic Gold Medalist Abhinav Bindra has been honored with the post of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army. The duo was awarded in a function organized in New Delhi where, Army Chief General VK Singh put on the stars on the Army uniform.




Along with this Dr. Deepak Rao who has given training to 17,000 soldiers in near field warfare in the nation has also been awarded with the Major rank in Territory Army.



Let. Colonel Dhoni and Bindra reached the Headquarters of Army with their wife & parents respectively where Mahi has been included in Chatadhari Regiment and Bindra in Sikh Regiment. Ms also revealed that his dream to provide services to the nation as an army officer has become true. Pratibha Devi Patil approved the decision to provide them this honour in September this year.

Also, it's interesting to know that Gold Medalist Bindra has become the youngest Let. Colonel in the history of Indian Army. Both of them revealed that they would join the Indian army whenever they will be free.
