Every transaction at ATM will cost Rs.20

 ATM card holders will have to be careful using their card. Now, the use of ATM and Debit card for shopping and other works may prove costlier. According to the latest amendment introduced by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), now Rs. 20/- per transaction will be charged on the use of ATM Card more than 5 times at other bank ATM with effect from July, 1 2011.



Earlier also transactions from other Bank ATM, excessing 5 times were charged, however non-financial transactions like Balance inquiry, Account's Mini-Statement were charge free. But now non-financial transactions will also be counted into those 5 free transactions.

Pukhraj Malu, General Manager of SBI told that, either you withdraw money or take such services, one will be charged Rs. 20/- per transaction after 5 transactions. Cardholders will have to be careful now.
