Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has planned to invest a huge sum of 2.33 Million Dollars in order to extract 1.5 Crore Cubic meter gas per day from the R-Grade gas regions located in D-6 Block near Krishna-Godavari. Sources related to this project said that, it might take 5-6 years to start the production of gas from these regions.
Dhirubhai-34 discovery is known as R-grade region and it's expected to have 1,640 cubic Feet gas. The proposal to declare the region as industrial area may be presented in front of KG-D6 monitoring committee. This type of studies are important before investing money in such projects.
KG-D6 Management committee will have a member each from Reliance, it's two partners & Director General of Hydrocarbons and Petroleum Ministry.
