World Environment Day, WED is celebrated on 5th June 2011 every Year, in order to promote awareness about Environment and the initiatives to be taken in order to take care of our bio-diversity. On the same day that is 5th of June in 1972, United Nations Conference on the Human Conference on the Human Environment was formed. Environment Day has been firstly celebrated in 1973, also known as Environment Day is celebrated in order to take the issues like climate changes, adverse effects of Global Warming, disasters and conflicts, harmful substances, environmental governance, ecosystem management and resource efficiency.
Every year a World Environment Day is hosted by a different nation, with a different Theme, which starts from 5th of June, also an Environment Day Slogan is issued which is to further strengthen the celebration of World Environment Day celebration.
Likely, this year India has been selected as the host of the World Environment Day and the slogan adapted this year is “Forest: Nature at Your Service”.
