Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal on Friday called upon the person to follow the precious legacy and the noble path shown by Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji, who was 5th Guru of the Sikhs who made a supreme sacrifice for preserving the rich values of humanism, secularism and unity of mankind.
On this great day of martyrdom by Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji, Chief Minister said that Guru ji sacrificed his life for the welfare and promotion of humanity and his act is inspirational and will be remembered forever.
Also he said that, “we should pay tribute to his sacrifice by following his noble teachings, high ideals in true spirit and strive hard to safeguard the interests of oppressed and disadvantaged sections of the society. We must remember the underlying spirit and message associated with Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji's selfless sacrifice".
