Board of Approval, BoA will take decision on the requests to set new Special Economy Zones across nation. The meeting will take place on 31st of June 2011 i.e. tomorrow and will be headed by Commerce Secretary, Rahul Kullar. In this meeting few other issues will also be discussed including tax-free enclaves.
The main reason behind the issue is the impressive increase in exports from these zones, which was noted 2.20 Lakh Crores in 2009-10 and rose to 3.15 Lakh Crores in 2010-11.
