Bahujan Samaj Party, BSP will start a nation wide strike to show protest against the fuel price hike. This strike is against Centre's decision to increase the petrol price. BSP Supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mayavati said that, "hike will have adverse effect and it will further increase the inflation rate."
Petrol rates have been increased by oil firms from 15th May 2011 by Rs. 5, which marks 8% of increase in price. Fuel rates have been increased time to time and almost hike of Rs 10 have been seen this year itself.
